As I mentioned earlier, I am in the process or reorganizing myself for this new year. As part of the Carlos 2.0 project I decided to make Caged Mantis a technology blog where I post some of the fun/challenging things which I have encountered. I have moved all of the old blog posts which were found at Caged Mantis over to my new blog: Amedee Matters. I wanted to separate some of the more personal items over to this new blog. I also finally got around to setting up my personal site at www.amedee.net.

- Most of my friends call me Los. I was born and raised in NYC. I enjoy photography and working with large data sets. My first computer was an Intel 486 with a Pentium overdrive stacked on top of it. I built it from spare parts that I found around the neighborhood. Like Swoff in Jarhead "I got lost on the way to college." I made my way back to school only to find out that I have a love for data structures, algorithms and operating systems that no man should have. My wife is pretty awesome. I am a Royal Ranger Gold Medal of Achievement recipient. And like Locke a man of faith.
